Harrogate Town boss Simon Weaver called upon their fans to become the 12th man to try and help them beat Swindon Town this weekend.

Ian Holloway’s side head to Yorkshire on Saturday hoping to extend their six-match unbeaten run and make it three away wins on the bounce, having won just once on the road all season prior to that.

With Town top of the League Two form table across the last five matches, Weaver said that his side would have to be right at it and needed to utilise their home advantage.

He said to club media: “We have to be right on it in terms of our preparation and there can be no let-up.

“We know that they have had an upturn and have been successful in recent weeks, but like in any game, if you fight the fight then you are in with a chance.

“In front of our home crowd, who I am sure will be trying to create a partisan atmosphere for the players in order for them to succeed then I think that everyone will be up for it.

“They have taken their key moments well and attacking-wise they have banged a few goals in and that helps to give everybody a boost.

“They have got that very convincing win over Carlisle and that has obviously boosted everybody’s levels of confidence within the camp.

“They look like a strong and physical outfit who can score goals.

“But it is the time in the season now where we are attentive and we know tactically what they are about.

“But we will concentrate on our strengths and make sure that we come out of the blocks fast.”

Swindon have been able to push away from the threat of relegation with a strong run of form in 2025 but Harrogate remain in trouble as they sit in 21st place.

The Sulphurites have not won any of their last five matches, including Yorkshire derby defeats against Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers.

However, they are a different prospect at The Excercise Stadium, as they are undefeated on home territory since New Year’s Day and Weaver would like to use that home advantage to get an edge over Town.

Weaver said: “We want you to enjoy the game and for us to deserve the support because if you can get behind us and be our 12th man then I really feel like the players deserve it.”
